Christchurch is the third largest city in NZ, and the largest on the south island. It's surrounded by the Canterbury region, a flat farmland area. The Avon River runs through Christchurch Gondola rides on the Avon Christchurch also has a tram system, but it only goes around a loop in downtown


Christchurch Cathedral


The "Wizard of Canterbury", is really just a guy who rants about life and the government every day in Cathedral Square at lunchtime This car was parked in front of the Cathedral a lot Clock tower in Christchurch


Christchurch from afar Lyttleton Harbor, the view you get if you turn around from the previous picture Christchurch has the International Antarctic Center, where all scientists heading to Antarctica stop on their way there. They give tours of the place, and rides in a hägglund, the vehicle of choice in Antarctica.
